Text Located at the lowest point on earth, 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea in Israel may be the first spa location exploited by man, as it was prized by Cleopatra and the Kingdom of Sheba. It was already well known at that time that a treatment based on salt and mud beautifies skin and helps to maintain the ideal form. This is possible thanks to a process of osmosis that removes excess liquids and substitutes them with marine microelements. This large lake is so special because of the high percentage of minerals present in its water. The concentration of trace elements is a result of the elevated salinity of the sea, actually ten times greater than the ocean which, due to the high temperatures and low humidity of the area, causes water to evaporate and salt to precipitate out with a concentration of active substances of 27% as compared with the 3% found on average in other marine salts.
Dead Sea salts come from the famous salty lake in Israel, where precious active substances have been concentrated for millennia.
The elevated percentage of minerals (magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium) contained in these salts makes this the perfect product for an active, relaxing, thermal bath; they are also effective when combined with cosmetic treatments for skin imperfections due to cellulite.
Soak in a lukewarm bath enriched with these salts for softer and more elastic skin; this daily moment of relaxation will also enhance the microcirculation of the skin.
For a thermal bath: Dissolve 100 g of salts in a bath and soak for 15 minutes. For a cellulite treatment: Soak in a bath filled halfway with lukewarm water and 2 spoonfuls of salts. Massage hips and thighs and soak for 10 minutes. Complete a cycle of 5/6 baths on alternating days, complete a second cycle of 8/10 baths on alternating days, stop for a short period and then continue with a third maintenance cycle with two baths per week.
Did you know that...
The Dead Sea, located at the lowest point on the globe, has accumulated over the course of millennia through a slow process of sedimentation organic and mineral substances that have particularly effective cosmetic properties. These substances are abundant in the Dead Sea Salts.
